The WHO Country Office in Myanmar needed to present a compelling case for continued investment in a highly challenging context. Alongside demonstrating the impact of ongoing health programmes, the publication needed to communicate significant funding gaps, explain the country’s rapidly evolving health landscape, and reinforce the importance of sustained international support. Balancing technical accuracy with clear storytelling was essential throughout.
Working closely with WHO specialists, we shaped a narrative that explained WHO’s strategic response, programme achievements and future priorities. We translated that narrative into compelling messaging, editorial design, and data visualisation, helping diverse audiences understand both the challenges and the opportunities for action.
We transformed complex statistics into accessible infographics to clarify interconnected health challenges. Each icon was designed to represent a different programme area, creating a consistent visual language that made technical content easier to interpret. Throughout the publication, we combined evidence with human stories to make complex issues more accessible and meaningful.
To extend the publication’s impact beyond the printed report, we also adapted its content into a presentation deck for the WHO Country Office. This enabled teams to communicate key messages consistently across donor meetings, partner briefings and other advocacy activities. The result was a strategic communication toolkit that supported WHO’s advocacy and resource mobilisation efforts by clearly demonstrating where additional investment could have the greatest impact.
